The ORCA Swim Club is a competitive swim club founded in 1990 and is
affiliated with SWIMMING/NATATION CANADA (SNC). The club operates as a
non-profit sports body to promote aquatics in the community of
Summerland. It is governed by a constitution, which is available
through the board of Directors. The goal of the club is to encourage
each athlete to be the best that they can be by participating in the
sport of competitve speed swimming.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Summerland ORCA Swim Club is to provide
a challenging and stimulating opportunity where all swimmers benefit
from participating in a quality competitive swim program, while having
fun in a supportive team environment based on the 4 corner stones of
sport : Fun, Self Empowerment, Fitness and Sportsmanship.
CLUB PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of the ORCA Swim Club and its coaching staff is simple. We are a competitive swim club and our mandate is:

foster excellence in competitive swimming from a grassroots level to
the international level through the training of our swimmers in all
aspects of the sport
- To instill other life-skills useful in competitive
swimming that help ORCA swimmers achieve in both the sport of swimming and in
life.
