This year's race will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2008. The Start/Transition Area has been changed for 2008. It will now be at Peach Orchard Park on Lakeshore Road (just around the corner from Rotary Beach). Racers and spectators will enjoy a larger transition zone and viewing area.

New for this year, there will be a course walk-through for the Kids of Steel participants on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the transition area in Peach Orchard Park. Race package pickup takes place from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on that day

Reminder: Race package pick-up will be on Saturday, August 30 from 1 to 3 PM. For those unable to make it during this time, it is very important to come early Sunday morning as it will be a busy time. Lakeshore Road will be closed to traffic at 7:45 AM. Please watch for the parking volunteers to show you appropriate spots as there will be some areas where parking will be prohibited and strictly enforced.

Note: There will be no day-of-race registrations accepted!

The Summerland Sprint Triathlon is in its 8th year and continues to grow in size and popularity. It is classified as a Sprint triathlon meaning that it starts with a swim portion followed by a bike portion and finally a running portion. The classifications and distances are as follows note that KOS stands for Kids of Steel:
