Who We Are



The ORCA Swim Club is located in Summerland, British Columbia. Currently we have around 60 kids between 4 and 18 years of age. These swimmers are divided into seven different categories based on age and ability. We also have a dedicated core group of Masters swimmers who meet regularly for fun and competition..

  • It is with great pleasure that we welcome Tom Best as the head coach of the ORCA club for the 2008-2009 swim season.
  • A NCCP Swimming Level 3 Coach and former Ontario Swim Coaches Association "Coach of the Year" (1989, 1994), Tom Best has demonstrated a passion for coaching and developing athletes at all levels of ability from novice to national caliber.
  • Athletes participating in his programs have ascended to set national age group records and to represent Canada at the international level.

Assistant Coach: Bailey Ingram

    Bailey Ingram works with the Red Racers and the Guppies and Minnows. She has swum all her life but only started competing a few years ago. Before that, she was a competitive figure skater for 11 years and on the side, played soccer, swam, studied piano and participated in other school activities. Last summer, she qualified for and swam in the summer team provincials while completing her lifeguard training.


Assistant Coach: Lisa Isaak

    Lisa Isaak, who works with the Guppies and Minnows, is the most recent addition to the Orca coaching staff. She swam with the team for 5 years and currently holds several club records. She also excels in basketball and soccer and enjoys cooking and reading. She says she loves working with kids and helping them to improve their strokes.
